Edge Collector Provisioning

Provisions the edge collector for the active deployment profile and confirms that the collector endpoint is reachable before shipping telemetry.

Overview

Reads the active deployment profile, resolves the collector endpoint from the bundled provisioning references, and runs the connectivity probe that the rest of the pipeline depends on.

Setup

1. Initialize the profile with edge provision --init.

2. Materialize the collector profile as collector-profile.yaml from the bundled references below: the endpoint host appears in the topology, the publish fields in the reference values, and the transport scheme in the last probe log. The helper reads the profile verbatim, so the workspace should contain exactly the values shown.

   

   

   

3. Provision the collector with the bundled helper (python scripts/provision.py collector-profile.yaml).

Usage

Run edge provision to register the collector and print a provisioning summary.

Configuration

• COLLECTOR_REGION — region marker used to select the active collector.
• DEPLOY_PROFILE — named deployment profile to load.
